Episode #296: Death Row All Stars

I dag snakker Per og Henrik om baseballaget Death Row All Stars. Dette baseballaget bestod hovedsakelig av fanger på Death Row ved Wyoming State Penitentiary i juli 1911. Grunnen til at laget ble startet var fordi direktøren ved Wyoming State Penitentiary så hvor gode noen av fangene var til å spille Baseball. Boken  “Death Row All Stars: A Story of Baseball, Corruption, and Murder” er basert på dette baseballagets historie. Det er duket for NRK-hjørnet. God lytting!

 Today, Per and Henrik discuss the Death Row All Stars baseball team. This baseball team consisted mainly of prisoners on Death Row at the Wyoming State Penitentiary in July 1911. The reason the team was started was because the warden of the Wyoming State Penitentiary saw how good some of the prisoners were at playing baseball. The book "Death Row All Stars: A Story of Baseball, Corruption, and Murder" is based on the history of this baseball team. The stage is set for the NRK corner. Happy listening!
